Khiladi Kumar will play one of the leads in KJo’s two-hero project scheduled to start early next year

Now, this is what we call big news! The successful actor and director, Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar, who have been entertaining the audience for more than two decades, have finally decided to come together and produce a film. And the lucky one to direct this big film is one of Karan’s favourite directors, Punit Malhotra.

News is that apna Khiladi will play one of the leads in this two-hero movie and Dharma Productions will announce the other male lead by next week. The Student Of The Year director stated that it’s too early to talk about the film, but he confirmed, “It’s a mainstream movie with a very strong underlying hard-hitting social message. Punit brought me this amazing script. So I approached Akshay and he too liked the idea.” Akshay echoed similar sentiments as he said, “We’re two very passionate producers with one aim – to entertain. Cheers to our new venture.”

Karan’s mother Hiroo Johar and Akki’s wife Twinkle Khanna will co-produce the film. “This association is not just professional, but also emotional,” said KJo. Punit intends to finish his film Tere Pyaar Mein starring Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan by this year, so that he can start work on Akshay’s movie by early next year. Good luck, AK and KJo!
