It seems Ali Zafar was the first actor, who was approached for the lead role in Bittoo Boss, but considering he was tied up with London Paris New York and other projects, he had to let go of the film
One actor rejecting a role and the other gaining out of it is not a very new thing in B-town. Something similar happened to singer-actor Ali Zafar when he hesitated in giving his nod to the role of Bittoo videographer in the soon to release Bittoo Boss. His reluctance made the makers of the film hunt for new faces and eventually Pulkit Samrat turned out to be the chosen one. Call it luck or plain coincidence, but the film honchos settled on Pulkit after a lot of hunting. Right from Vivek Oberoi to Rannvijay Singh, their list consisted of a lot of names but it was only after they thought they should look for someone outside the regular faces in the industry that they ended up finding Mr Samrat.
Bittoo Boss has been under the scanner lately ‘coz of the similarities it shares with Band Baaja Baarat. The look and feel of the movie reminds us of the 2010 Anushka-Ranveer blocksbuster and honestly we aren’t quite sure if BB can manage to come close to the benchmark set by BBB. So until we watch the movie, we think Ali Zafar and all the other heroes who had been approached for the role aren’t really going to lose out on anything as such.
