We take a quick look at actors who dressed to kill and those who were a total buzz-kill

While some of the B-Town divas never fail to impress us with their impeccable style, certain other actors were a revelation this week while some others are just unable to get it right in the fashion department for quite a while now. Here’s our take on the best and worst dressers of the week…

Alia Bhatt: In a funky Falguni and Shane peacock dress teamed with casual sneakers, Alia Bhatt was hands down the show stealer at Life Ok Now awards. We think that the Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania actor is using her injury quite well to her advantage by sporting those kickass sneakers at every promotional activity. We love the back of the dress as it isn’t a regular boring one. Instead it has a lot of net detailing and a zip running down till the hip. Plus, that ‘pataka’ tattoo makes Alia a total firecracker in this attire!

Kajol: Dressed in a Nida Mahmood maxi dress Kajol attended a recent soiree. The hairstyle Kajol is sporting just doesn’t go with the attire; perhaps a messy braid would have looked better. Even the Charles and Keith sandals aren’t right as they are throwing the length of the maxi dress off. Had Kajol opted for the same maxi dress with the right shoes and the right hair-do she could have impressed us.

Parineeti Chopra: Parineeti Chopra seems to have upped her game! The actor has faced quite a lot of flak in the past for her not-so-striking fashion sense but she seems to be taking the advices thrown at her. In a white peplum Varun Bahl dress, Parineeti attended a recent press meet. She rocked a red lip and we love those metallic Louboutins! She kept the look minimal yet chic by picking a Sapphire ring to finish out her look. Full points to Ms Chopra.

Rani Mukerji:  In distressed denims paired with a black tank top and a white jacket Rani tried to stay in tune with the character she will be seen playing in Mardaani. But we thought that the look was boring. Perhaps if Rani opted for shoes instead of the shocking pink Jimmy Choo heels and left her hair untied, the look would have been bang on. The yellow Rocio didn’t sit well with us either.

Sonam Kapoor: Sonam Kapoor’s dressed in Toni Maticevski separates for an event and boy o boy didn’t she look stunning! We absolutely love how Sonam is experimenting with daring neckline to flaunt that sexy cleavage of her and still keeping it so classy. One can see an element of Sonam in the ensemble as she has finished her look with a lilac silk jacket that adds mild elegance to the attire.

Vidya Balan: We loved it when Vidya Balan underwent a fashion overhaul with Sabyasachi’s help but off late we think something is amiss yet again. The Bobby Jasoos actor picked a Manish Malhotra anarkali to throw on at an award function but sadly she failed to make an impact. The unflattering sleeve fit looks clumsy. The messy side-braid and the earring she is sporting do not complement each other. Even the color of the anarkali doesn’t go with the color of the dupatta. Perhaps the fabric of the anarkali wasn’t right for Vidya. Had she worn a more fitted salwar kameez with her hair done up in a bun, she would have cut a pretty picture.
