The two superstars were last seen together in the 2008 film Bhoothnath. Now Bollywood’s two ultra-popular actors will be once again sharing screen space after five long years
Every time Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan have shared screen space, the duo has offered cinematic treat like no one else has. The two superstars have worked together in films like Mohabbatein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Veer-Zaara. It’s been a good five long years since they appeared together in the 2008 film Bhoothnath, but that project had SRK playing a cameo. And now the good news is that director R Balki is all set to bring the two superstars together for his forthcoming venture.
Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently in Bhopal shooting for Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha, and Shahrukh Khan, who is busy with Rohit Shetty’s next Chennai Express, have rescheduled their respective calendars to act in Balki’s film.
A little birdie also tells us that Shahrukh is doing a short film with R Balki. The film, we hear, is dedicated towards a social cause. Balki who has given us special films like Cheeni Kum and Paa is gearing up to make a statement on women’s safety in the country. He met SRK at his residence and the 47-year-old actor readily agreed to be a part of the project, which will be released on March 8 – Women’s Day.
Now, we are really excited about the movie not just because the two stars will appear on the silver screen once again, but also because the project will be directed by Balki who always strives to give us something really hatke.
