Anita Advani’s domestic violence case against Dimple Kapadia stayed

The court yesterday stayed the proceedings till December 17 in a case of domestic violence filed by Anita Advani

Dimple Kapadia and Akshay Kumar can heave a sigh of relief. The Bombay High Court stayed the proceedings against them till December 17, on the basis of a plea filed by Dimple and Akshay challenging Anita Advani’s claim of domestic violence and a share in Kaka’s property too. Justice K U Chandiwal issued a notice to Rajesh Khanna’s alleged live-in partner Anita Advani to reply to the plea. Kaka’s daughters, Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna too are in the process of filing similar petitions against Advani.

Anita had claimed that she was driven out of Khanna’s bungalow Aashirwad after his death. Dimple Kapadia insisted that she was the legally wedded wife of Khanna, and no other woman can claim a share in the property left behind by her husband. She felt it was unreasonable for the magistrate to even suggest that she and her family compromise with the complainant. Akshay supported Dimple’s contention that Advani had no right to claim any share from Khanna’s properties which is said to be to the tune of Rs 500 crores. Watch this space for more updates.
