Anurag Basu, Sonali Bendre and Vivek Oberoi hunt for best child actors in India’s Best Dramebaaz

The director and the actors are all excited to judge the new children’s reality show

Life has come a full circle for the Barfi! director as he returns to the small screen, this time as a reality show judge. Giving Anurag Basu company will be Sonali Bendre, and according to some strong rumours doing the rounds, Vivek Oberoi will be part of the judges’ panel too, though he is yet to sign the contract. We can understand Sonali and Basu as judges, but why Vivek?

Rithvik Dhanjani (of Pavitra Rishta fame) will host the show. The talent hunt show to be aired on Zee TV, will put children between 5-12 years through a series of tasks and challenges that will groom them as actors and test their creativity, spontaneity and acting capabilities.

“I was a drama queen in my childhood,” said Sonali in an interview, and elaborated, “Some children love the spotlight and this show will help them do so.” Anurag said, “The idea is to identify children who have a natural spunk, something original about their style and can perform with ease without getting conscious.”

The channel which recently completed 20 glorious years, has already begun its nationwide search for the 18 brightest, spunkiest, most mischievous and talented kids from across the country. So all you bachcha log – are you ready to be India’s Best Dramebaaz?
