The Ishaqzaade actor Arjun Kapoor celebrates his birthday today. He was born on June 26, 1985. The young actor, who turns 27, was born to well-known film producer Boney Kapoor and Mona Shourie Kapoor in Mumbai city. Arjun originally didn’t want to be an actor ‘coz he was overweight, but family friend Salman Khan pushed him to knock off the unwanted kilos and try for a career in front of the camera. And that’s how Arjun discovered the passion for acting. Initially, the young Kapoor’s first feature film was supposed to be a virtual drama titled Virus Diwan under the Yash Raj Films banner, but it got shelved. A few months later the production house offered him the role of loutish lover boy in a small town set story, Ishaqzaade, written and directed by Habib Faisal (Do Dooni Char fame). The film received mixed reviews, but Arjun’s performance was liked by most people, and his acting career has finally taken off. He will soon start work on his next movie, Aurangzeb.
