After an impressive debut in Habib Faisal’s Ishaqzaade with Parineeti Chopra, Arjun Kapoor gears up to do a project with his filmmaker dad
Arjun Kapoor has his hands full. The Ishaqzaade actor has signed on the dotted line for three new films. Arjun will be seen Yash Raj Films’ upcoming production Aurangzeb. He will also be working on a Karan Johar-Sajid Nadiadwala production, 2 States, based on Chetan Bhagat’s popular novel of the same name. And the 26-year-old actor will also start shooting for another YRF film titled Gunday, with Ranveer Singh as co-star.
Arjun is certainly happy about his upcoming projects, but what gets him even more excited is the prospect of working with his filmmaker father Boney Kapoor. In fact, the papa-beta duo is in search of a good script now. “The most important thing right now is to lock the right script. We are still looking at stories and the right director. It will be a complete entertainer. We’re looking at remakes and original scripts from established directors as well as new ones. We are open to different things,” said Arjun in an interview to a daily.
Ask the lad what his association with his dad means to him, and he gets sentimental. “It is going to be a very emotional process. I want to give him (Boney Kapoor) my best. There won’t be bigger happiness for my family. As a son, and as an actor, I aspire to give my best for my dad’s film. I will go the extra mile for the project and so will he,” added the young actor.
