B-town’s loveable Circuit celebrates his 45th birthday today
Born on April 19, 1968, Arshad Warsi started his film career with the ABCL’s Tere Mere Sapne (1996). While everyone knows that Arshad was a choreographer before he became an actor, not many would know that he won the World Dance Championship, London at the age of 21! But this dancer always nurtured the dream to become a hero.
Despite some solo hero films and many multi-starrer ventures, Arshad has struggled to get the kind of roles and success he deserves. His comic acts in the Golmaal series and the award-winning role of Circuit in the Munnabhai series have been highlights of his Bollywood career till now. His role in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Ishqiya won him laurels and applause from critics and audiences alike and he also bagged Best Supporting Actor awards for the film.
Arshad has also judged a dance reality show and even hosted the first season of Bigg Boss which helped him remain on the Bollywood map and the audience’s memory. This year, the talented actor has had two releases – Zila Ghaziabad and Jolly LLB – the latter going on to become a huge success and bringing back the always in-form Arshad Warsi. He will next be seen in Dedh Ishqiya, Bhaiyyaji Superhit, Jo Bhi Karva Lo and the Munnabhai franchise.
Wethinks the actor should carefully select roles that will get him the much needed acclaim and not colossal disasters like Zila. On the personal front, he is happily married to Maria Goretti and is the proud father of Zeke Zidane and Zene Zone. BollywoodLife wishes the actor great luck in his work, loads of happiness in his life and a very happy birthday!
