Why?Because it is at this time of year that people shop for gold! Bad jokes apart, the festival starts off with retail therapy for all things shiny and sparkly, Gold is perhaps the most traditionally popular gift exchanged during the festive season, seen everywhere from jewellery to clothes to shoes to art. And just like you and me, B-town goes jazzy every year to mark the festival of lights, Lakshmi and luck. Though not everyone takes Bappida’s glittering route, there is a lot more shine going on.
