More often than not, Bollywood has used facial hair in general and a moustache in particular as a tool to establish the distinction between good and bad. For some unknown reason, heroes even now generally have been clean shaven, as if it was a qualifier to be a good character. Raj ‘The Showman’ Kapoor was probably the only exception to this norm, but even his shiny yet discreet moustache blended into his rotund face.
