We knew this a while ago that Ekta Kapoor wanted to replace the Best Friends Forever actor and looks like the inevitable has happened
Fenil Umrigar, who was playing the 23-year-old Pihu Kapoor announced that she has quit Ekta Kapoor’s Bade Acche Lagte Hain (BALH) owing to changes in the script. The actor claims that when she read the script, it was clear that Pihu would become arrogant when she grows up. However, it wasn’t clear that she would turn completely negative.
Fenil says that she has always played a positive character throughout her career and wants to keep it like that. The actor said that ever since she began playing Pihu, the actor has been facing a lot of brickbats on social networking sites and from fans due to which she decided to quit the show.
Now that’s a story we find a bit difficult to believe. In an interview sometime back, Fenil had stated that Pihu will become a little negative and she hopes that people like her as the first Kapoor beti on BALH. Well, if she already knew this, then why does she have a problem now? One week after casting Fenil as Pihu, Ekta Kapoor has been on a lookout for a replacement, inform sources. The producer wanted a stronger actor to play the negative Pihu and Fenil just didn’t fit the bill. If rumours are to be believed, Kapoor has cast Akshita Kapoor of the Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Kitani Mohobbat Hai fame.
