Balak Palak box office report: Riteish Deshmukh’s Marathi production earns Rs 3.2 crores in its second week

The Housefull 2 actor’s debut Marathi movie is earning big moolah at the box office

In spite of a bigger release Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, the regional movie Balak Palak is still doing great business at the box office. The film which talks about the curiosity amongst adolescents when it comes to sex, collected over Rs 2 crores in its first week and in the second week, it has managed to collect approximately Rs 1.2 crores. “Balak Palak does excellent business in week one. Collects over Rs 2 crore, word of mouth is tremendous and witnesses big jump in weekend two: Friday-22 lacs, Saturday-43 lacs, Sunday-55 lacs. Total Rs 1.20 crore. Better than opening weekend,” Taran Adarsh tweeted.

The proud producer Riteish Deshmukh also tweeted, “Overwhelmed by the tremendous response for Balak Palak -thank you for loving it and recommending it. Second weekend doing better than the first.”

The film which is running housefull at several places in Maharashtra is expected to make around Rs 5 crores, and good word of mouth publicity should help BP create new records at the Marathi box office. Congratulations Riteish for such a brave and sensitive effort!
