We saw Bhagyashree making waves in B-town through her debut Maine Pyar Kiya opposite Salman Khan. Sonali Bendre on the other hand gained fame through her “don’t mind” stint in Sarfarosh opposite Aamir Khan. Though sharing the screen with such big names, the two beauties have seen their Bollywood careers going downhill through the years. We wonder if that’s the reason for their decision to enter tellyland…
Bhagyashree Patwardhan will be seen along with ensemble cast including Ayaaz Khan, Rajshri Sachdev, Adita Wahi, Eijaz Khan and Jiten Lalwani in Star Plus’s show Missing. Jai Kalra of the Bade Achhe Lagte Hai fame on Sony TV, will be seen playing Bhagyashree’s husband.
A source revealed, “Kalra and Bhagyashree will essay the central characters of the parents whose teenage daughter will go missing. Kalra’s will be a performance-oriented role, and he is looking forward to being a part of it, especially because this happens to be a lead role.”
The show is said to be an adaptation of the popular American series Missing on Star World. According to reports, the actors are presently shooting for a promo which is said to go on air very soon.
Goldie Behl’s wife Sonali Bendre on the other hand will be seen in Life OK’s Bade Dhoke Hai Is Raah Mein Pyaar Ke. A show said to be based on a political backdrop, Bendre will reportedly play the role of the protagonist. She will be seen playing a woman who is forced to make a career after her husband gets charged for corruption.
We hear that Samir Soni of Parichay – Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapnon Ka fame, will be seen starring opposite Sonali Bendre. A source said, “Samir will play the protagonist paired opposite Bendre. Samir’s character will be that of a businessman who will fall for Bendre, after her husband will get arrested.”
Regarding the title of the show, reports suggest that Ekta Kapoor stuck to her belief and practice of having a long name for the show. A source close to the producer informed, “This political saga has bagged the title Bade Dhoke Hai Is Raah Mein Pyaar Ke and hopefully, this interesting title and concept will keep viewers glued to the show.” The show will launched in a few months.
If the saga of failed B-town aspirants joining the television industry continues, we might just see half of the film world in daily soaps soon eh? Well Bollywoodlifers, you would have to guess the names of such celebs, as we aren’t revealing any as of now! Stay tuned in this space for more updates.
