The period drama on Sony TV is about to see a change in one of their principal characters due to unavoidable circumstances
Sahil Deshmukh, who is currently playing the iconic role of Akbar, is being replaced by Arish Bhiwandiwala in Bharat Ka Veer Putra-Maharana Pratap. According to confirmed reports and quotes by his parents, the young actor is suffering lymphoid leukemia (cancer of lymphocytes) and undergoing treatment in the hospital. Sahil underwent a bone marrow transplant on Thursday; the doctors have suggested chemotherapy will help in the treatment and recovery.
The makers of the period drama, while sympathetic about the situation have decided to take the story ahead by replacing the actor. Taking on the role will be Agneepath fame Arish. The child actor played the teenage version of Hrithik Roshan in Agneepath.
This is indeed a big break after his brilliant stint in Agneepath. Arish is a talented actor, there is no doubt about it. But playing such a pivotal role in Maharana Pratap will not be an easy task. We wonder if Arish will be able to bring out the royal look on screen.
