The maverick filmmaker joins the sequel makers’ club with his latest Manisha Koirala starrer
Irrespective of the fate of his films at the box office, Ram Gopal Varma keeps churning out films almost every other month. The elusive critical and commercial success just can’t keep Mr Varma down. Like the Bhatts, Ramu seems to have taken a liking to sequels. After Phoonk 2 and Ab Tak Chappan 2, the latest from RGV’s camp is the Chakravarty-Manisha Koirala starrer, Bhoot Returns.
The earlier Ajay Devgn-Urmila Matondkar starrer, Bhoot is hailed as one of the best horror films to come out of B-town. We wonder where RGV is headed with what seems like a Paranormal Activity gone wrong. The highlight of Bhoot Returns seems to be a little girl, as there is no trace of the lead pair in the publicity material as of now. It will be interesting to see if Manisha manages to pack a punch in her comeback. She has been off the radar for ages now and we wait to watch Ramu’s horror flick mainly for her.
After a series of disasters, will Bhoot Returns becomes RGV’s comeback at the BO? We’ll save our verdict till the movie comes out on October 12.
