The latest contestant to have been eliminated from Bigg Boss 7 talks about his journey in the house, his rivals and much more…
Everyone was a bit surprised when VJ Andy, who entertained one and all with his comic skills during his stay in the glass walled house was eliminated from Bigg Boss 7 last night. We caught up with Andy post his eviction and got him to talk about his journey inside the Bigg Boss house and much more. Here’s what he had to say…
How was it spending 100 days locked in a house?
The experience has been a roller coaster ride. I made a lot of good friends in the house and I am really happy about it. What else makes me happy is that I managed to survive so long and was in the top five. I consider it as an achievement.
You had this campaign going whereby you appealed to the masses to vote for you. That possibly helped you a lot, but not enough. Are you disappointed that you couldn’t make it to the Grand Finale?
I am not completely disappointed, but it pinches a little. But on the other hand, I am happy that I am out of the house and I am able to celebrate Christmas with my family and friends.
What possibly went wrong, according to you?
I really don’t know. When the four of us (Ajaz Khan, Gauhar Khan, Tanishaa Mukherji and Andy) were nominated on Sunday and it was announced that there was going to be a mid-week elimination, I started to feel that it’s going to be me who will be eliminated, but I was still affirmative – evidently, it was not my day. I was never gunning to win, but I had hoped that I would be a runner-up, at least. Ever since I have come out of the house, I have talked to a lot of media members and everyone has been saying to me that you were the strongest contender in the house. Now when I think about it, I have a totally different perspective.
Now that you are out of the house, what’s next? Are we going to see you in Bollywood films, or will we see you in another reality show?
I definitely want to do television. I love television and I think it’s a growing industry here in India. There is Bollywood film on the cards as well, for sure. I have a lot of opportunities right now, but before deciding on anything, I want to have a five-day break. And then I will come back next year and you will see me soon.
There are four people in the house right now. Who according you are the two housemates who deserve to win Bigg Boss 7?
Tanishaa and Sangram deserve to win, for sure. But I think it’s going to be between Gauahar and Tanishaa in the end. Why I think Gauahar – because she want to win the game very desperately. She will do anything to win.
But on the last three seasons we have seen women emerging as the winners, so are you saying that the streak won’t be broken this year?
See, Ajaz is almost out of the race. So it all depends on Sangram. Otherwise it’s going to be a lady winner in this season as well.
As you know, Sofia Hayat filed a police complaint against Armaan Kohli alleging that he physically assaulted her. You were also attacked by Kushal Tandon? Are you planning to file a police complaint against him?
Whatever happens in the Bigg Boss house, one should leave everything there itself. You should leave negativity behind and move forward. I am not someone who lives in the past; I always live in the present and think about a bright future.
Quite evidently there were two couples in the house – Armaan-Tanishaa and Gauahar-Kushal. Whose relationship do you think will last outside the house?
I definitely think that Armaan and Tanishaa’s ‘friendship’ has become really strong and it will get stronger in the future. As far as Gauahar and Kushal are concerned, I don’t think people can fall in love in three months. But there can be exceptions and you have seen it. The testing time between them will be once they come out of the house.
Do you think Kushal’s proposal to Gauahar Khan was genuine?
I have been hearing a lot of stories about Kushal ever since I have come out of the house. I have heard that Kushal had confessed his love before to a fellow contestant on another show (Kushal’s proposal to his ex-girlfriend Eleana Boeva on Nach Baliye). So Kushal’s proposal to Gauahar makes me question that and I really doubt if his proposal was real.
You left the house following a spat with your ‘best friend’ Sangram Singh. Do you feel bad about it?
Of course I do feel bad! He was a strong support for me while I was in the house. It’s sad that I didn’t get to sort everything out with him, but as soon as he comes out of the house we will talk and clear the air.
