Bipasha Basu all set to go spooky again in a horror flick

After trying her hand at not-successful thrillers and rom-coms, the Players actor seems to be in a mood for horror

Bipasha Basu’s last few films like Players and Jodi Breakers have been disasters at the BO. And now Bips is banking heavily on her forthcoming Emraan Hashmi starrer Raaz 3 to reclaim her glory in Bollywood. Now we hear that she has signed on to do director Suparn Verma’s new horror flick, something called Aatma. We were not really surprised to find that there was a B-grade film by the same name released in 2006 – after all, how many names can you think up for a boo-grade film, no? Though the Billo Rani babe’s presence in Suparn’s film moves it out of the B-graders’ list, as we read about her confirmation in this one, names of spooky Ramsay Brothers films like Bandh Darwaza, Purani Haveli, Veerana, Tahkhana, Purana Mandir, Sannata and more came flooding back.

By the way, according to gup-shup, the makers of Aatma are fiercely guarding the story of the film and we hear that most of the crew doesn’t even have a complete bound script. Produced by Kumar Mangat and Abhishek Pathak, this one seems to be a comparatively safe bet, unlike Bittoo Boss, which had a cast of newbies and didn’t do very well at the BO. Let’s see if the Bong babe can pull off another spooky film with her Raaz elan…
