This will be the Jodi Breakers actor’s second trip to the most celebrated international film fest. The first time she was there with her then boyfriend John Abraham to present their film Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal
B-town’s Bong beauty Bipasha Basu will be heading to the Cannes Film Festival for the screening of her first international film Singularity, starring Hollywood hottie Josh Hartnett and directed by City of Joy fame filmmaker Roland Joffe. This goes to confirm that Singularity producers were never in any kind of financial trouble and all’s well with Bips’ international debut. Some time ago, there were rumours in the media circle about the film producers facing financial crisis but clearly that was just a figment of someone’s prolific imagination.
Singularity is a love story between an Indian warrior princess played by Bipasha and a British officer set in the per-independence era. This apparently wouldn’t be the actor’s first time at an international film fest. In 2007, she and her ex-beau John Abraham had visited the French Rivera to promote their film Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal. This year like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Mallika Sherawat, Sonam Kapoor and Minissha Lamba, the Players actor will also leave her footprints on the glorious red carpet of the film fest. Let’s hope the film really gives her a reason to celebrate.
