Birthday Special: Malaika Arora Khan’s style decoded!

If we had to label the item girl’s style statement, we’d like to say that it’s ‘versatile’ and that she’s quite experimental….

Malaika Arora Khan turns 40 today. Yeah, kinda unbelievable, no? Even at 40, she’s a yummy mummy, a desirable wife, a sexy item girl, and a sassy, successful lady. So as she begins the new year in her life, we check out her appearances through this year to see if she’s still in the good books of the fashion police. How did she score? Take a look to find out!

At a recent event, Malaika was seen in an orange floor-length maxi-dress that she accessorised with a very funky gold neckpiece. With her hair puffed high in the front and pulled back into a ponytail, she set heartbeats racing with the sultry look in her eyes. A few days earlier too, she wore a maxi dress in blue, with a similar hairdo but a more quirky and interesting neckpiece. Malaika generally shows off her best side at awards events. The birthday girl looked sensuous in a black backless dress at one do, but was blah at two others. At one event she was seen in a flared dress that made her look as if she was trying to imitate a ballerina and at another, she wore a shimmery dress with scales like a fish all over. Thumbs down to Munni for these appearances.

And then there is the desi Malaika. During Ganpati visarjan, Malaika was spotted in a very simple purple outfit with huge zari motifs. She looked quite beautiful with her hair braided. At an Iftar party, we saw the Chaiyya chaiyya girl in a white and hot pink designer lehenga and learned that a covered-up Munni can also grab eyeballs…no kidding! And the gal can dress to impress, we all know. At a recent fashion week show Malaika was seen flaunting her toned legs in cute lil green shorts smartly teamed with a white top. The yummy mummy was spotted on the sets of a cooking show in a vibrant yellow dress with a green belt across her middle and looked quite cool!

All in all, we’ve loved most of Munni aka Malaika’s appearances. What about you, BollywoodLifers?
