The much-awaited film promo is out, and we think the Singham director’s next is a delight waiting to be unveiled for his reliable fans

The winning combination of blockbuster movies – Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty – is back in action with a new entertainer, Bol Bachchan. And this time they have Abhishek Bachchan, Asin Thottumkal and Prachi Desai for company in the comic caper.

In Ajay’s introductory shot he is dressed in a bright orange kurta and jeans, is riding a bike and is being followed by three jeeps filled with burly men – that seems to have become the director’s favourite way of presenting the tall, dark and handsome action star in his masaledar flicks. Remember Ajay’s opening scenes in the Golmaal series? Contrary to the Singham star’s image, Abhishek has a very vibrant introduction in the promo. He plays three different avatars in the film – a moustached man, a Muslim character and an effeminate gent. And the leading ladies – Asin and Prachi – are seen in passing glimpses in the 2.38-minute promo.

Bol Bachchan’s story definitely stems from Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Amol Palekar-Utpal Dutt starrer Golmaal, but Rohit Shetty has adapted the plot to suit his taste. From the promo wethinks the film has all the ingredients that make his movies blockbusters – loud thumping beats in the background, bright colossal sets, colourful characters, hilarious dialogues, hilarious action sequences, flying men and, of course, cars.

So wethink the Ajay-Abhishek-Asin-Prachi-starrer is a goody wrapped in a garish box that will cheer up all the diehard fans of Rohit Shetty’s massy entertainers. Take a look at the promo and tell us if you think the film will set the cash registers at cinema halls ringing loudly.
