Bollywood pays a tribute to late Farooque Sheikh

A special event was organised in the memory of the popular television presenter who passed away last year

Farooque Sheikh, a great Indian actor and a television presenter breathed his last on December, 27, 2013. In his memory, Indian Films & TV Directors Association organised an event at the S P Jain Auditorium in Bhavan’s College on January 16.

The event was attended by some of the most noted Indian directors, actors and writers who have worked with the late actor. MS Sathyu, who introduced Sheikh in Garam Hawa (1973) was leading the event. Other celebs expected at the event were Sagar Sarhadi, Ramesh Talwar, Raman Kumar, Pankaj Parashar, Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, Sanjay Tripathi, Avinash Kumar Singh, Shona Urvashi, Suhail Tatari, Javed Siddiqui and Anand Rai.

The event to pay tribute to Farooque Sheikh was organised by Ashoke Pandit – President of the Indian Films & TV Directors Association. Pandit said, “We thought we should invite all the directors who have worked with the late veteran actor Shaikh to share interesting moments with the actor, whether these are humorous or sensitive or simply give an insight into his unique personality.”Subscribe to me on YouTube
