Bombay Talkies trailer: Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap tell a unique story

Four intelligent directors of our times come together to create a unique project comprising four different tales in one cinematic endeavour

Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap launched the trailer of their collaborative cinematic creation yesterday. Titled Bombay Talkies this movie will showcase four short stories that are very close to each filmmaker’s heart. Set against the chaotic and equally fascinating backdrop of Mumbai, Bombay Talkies is about different characters – enacted by Rani Mukerji, Randeep Hooda, Katrina Kaif, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Saqib Saleem and others – expressing myriads moods of the island city and those who dwell in it. Desire, hope and dreams are what we see in the trailer.

This a first time ever that four popular directors of contemporary cinema – each known for his or her unique craft – have come under one common umbrella to create a film of this nature.
