Last Friday Harman’s comeback film Dishkiyaoon, Jackky starrer Youngistaan and Pulkit’s O Teri hit the theaters. Sadly, all the three films failed to get cash registers ringing
Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s first production venture Dishkiyaoon starring Harman Baweja and Sunny Deol has turned out to be a big disappointment at the box office. Though Bipasha Basu was touched her boyfriend’s performance, the case wasn’t the same with critics and audience. O Teri and Youngistaan which released alongside Dishkiyaoon faced the same fate at the ticket windows. Even though superstar Salman Khan was backing Atul Agnihotri’s O Teri, the film didn’t prove to be a crowd puller. As for Youngistaan, Jackky failed to impress the movie goers once again with his act. With these three releases missing the mark completely at the BO, last Friday the collections were indeed way too low.
According to Boxofficeindia, “Dishkiyaoon, O Teri and Youngistaan had awful weekends with Youngistaan being the best of the lot with around Rs 4 crore nett weekend business. The collections were affected by the cricket match on Sunday but as the films had such low collections it hardly amounted to anything. The combined total of the three films is not even Rs 10 crore nett while the combined costs are around Rs 75 crore.”
On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut’s Queen and Sunny Leone’s Ragini MMS 2 continued their good run at the box office. Maybe Kangy’s flawless performance and Sunny’s sexy avatar played a spoilsport for Harman, Jackky and Pulkit’s film, hai na? In that case, kudos to the girl power!
