Both the medium budget films did well at the BO in their opening weekend
Vikram Bhatt production 1920: Evil Returns and Anurag Kashyap project directed by Sameer Sharma, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana performed well at the box office in the opening weekend. The Huma Qureshi-Kunal Kapoor comedy Luv Shuv… was made at a budget of Rs 3 crore and it managed to earn Rs 1.25 crore on Friday and Rs 2 crore on Saturday. At this point, the movie is set to make decent amount of profit by the end of the week.
The Aftab Shivdasani-Tia Bajpai horror flick – made at a production cost of Rs 9 crore – earned Rs 4.05 crore on Friday and Rs 3.80 crore on Sunday. Early figures showed a marginal drop in the collections on Sunday, but nevertheless, the film should manage to capitalise on the good opening in the coming days.
With a free run for two weeks until the Diwali releases Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son Of Sardaar on November 16, both Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana and 1920: Evil Returns are slated to do good business at the BO.
