Box office report: ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ crosses the Rs 100 crore mark in five days!

And guess what, Salman Khan thinks that it was a cake walk. Read on to know why

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have gone all out to promote their just-released movie Ek Tha Tiger on television by appearing on several reality shows. And looks like their efforts have indeed paid off at the box office because the movie has set a new record by crossing the coveted Rs 100 crore mark in just five days.

But guess what, this popular yard stick in the world of B-town trade isn’t of much importance to our darling Sallu. “India has such a large population and nowadays crossing Rs 100 crore mark is not a big deal. It’s actually very easy,” the Tiger had said in an interview.

Hmm, a fair point made, Salman. Even so, making so much moolah in just a few days is indeed commendable. ETT made Rs 32.92 crore on Wednesday (opening day), Rs 14.5 crore on Thursday, Rs 12.90 crore on Friday, Rs 16.75 crore on Saturday and has allegedly made Rs 23 crore on Sunday.

But what worked for Salman’s movie this time around? Was it just Sallu’s presence or his pairing with Katrina or the logic that’s seldom seen in his movies? Tell us, dear readers, what do you think made Ek Tha Tiger a super-duper hit?

Since i am sharukh fan…every body says salman movie is crap bakwas..so i never like to watch salman movie 2 years ago…but after watching Wanted,Dabang n bodyguard started liking Salman action movie &…i watched this movie yesterday and found really awesome with great action and Silent Romance.The action scene are awesome…i liked the movie a lot.i think everybody after watching this Movie will start saying the Salman Khan is now Bollywood’s real Super Star after SRK,who hate salman should go and watch… then criticize it. Congrats Salman & Kat also Yashraj Camp for this awesome Action Romantic Movie.Cheers !

sallu prresence ensures 100 crores, katrina adds another 25 crores and yash raj banner another 30-40 crores and in total ek tha tiger will end up around 180 crore mark , definately sallu is the strongest point in the movie….

What made ETT a blockbuster?
Coz the movie contains wholesome entertainment package, salman khan – the major factor alongside katrina kaif. The action part is awesome and it makes u excited, what will happen next and the songs are really catchy. What I loved the most is the chemistry of Sallu-Kat. They were superb and amazing. salman is extremely talented actor and Katrina too has improved a lot in hindi. She is really hardworking actress.
