The two warring films have surprised trade pundits and B-towners with astounding openings

Both Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ) and Son Of Sardaar (SOS) have raked in big, fat moolah at the box office in the first two days of their release, with the former drawing Rs 34.77 crores net and the latter giving a tough fight at Rs 26.93 crores nett. In short, both films have found their share of audience in various circles.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “It’s crystal clear by now that JTHJ is dominating multiplexes, with Mumbai, Delhi, Bengal and Mysore circuits adding power to the earnings, while SOS has emerged the first choice in circuits where single screens lend force – Delhi, UP, Punjab, Rajasthan and Bihar. Also, parts of Mumbai circuit (Maharashtra and Gujarat) are yielding good returns for SOS.”

It would be interesting to see how these Shahrukh Khan and Ajay Devgn films fare during the weekend. Collections are bound to scale new heights from Friday evening onwards, and come Monday, we will have a clearer and better picture on their box office standing. So watch this space for more updates.
