Promoting a film today is all about presence, presence, presence. And, apart from star appearances on every platform possible, from TV serials to reality shows to multiplexes and malls, merchandising and logos play a huge part…

We recently heard that Shahrukh Khan wants to show off his speed – if he has his way, RA.One will blazon its message on Michael Schumacher’s F1 car for the Indian Grand Prix, a pie that SRK already has a finger in, if rumour is to be believed. We are most likely to see the film name, almost like a logo: RA.One on the side of a Mercedes Benz team racing car. This could be the first of its kind in terms of scale and it made us ponder brand endorsements and their success in Bollywood…
