The Ishaqzaade actor has a commanding presence on the cover of Filmfare magazine, but will he achieve the same standing in B-town, where competition is cutthroat?
Arjun Kapoor’s scornful smile and rustic appeal in Habib Faisal’s Ishaqzaade made him a talent to look forward to. The 27-year-old has already become a sensation among college goers. Boys try to emulate him and girls go weak in the knees when the unconventional-looking hero flashes his famous lopsided smirk.
We spotted Arjun Kapoor on the cover of the October issue of the movie glossy Filmfare. In this cover shot Arjun dons a beige double breasted trenchcoat that creates a stunning contrast with his jet-black trousers. A white shirt beneath that heavy coat goes well with the ensemble. The young lad’s deadpan expression gives the frame a calm yet a commanding look. Kapoor’s long hair, facial fuzz and lanky frame reminds us of young Abhishek Bachchan (we are not sure if Arjun would take that as a warm compliment).
‘A star is born – with big banners tucked under his belt, Arjun Kapoor is the new star in tinseltown,’ declares the tagline. And rightly so. After all, the Kapoor lad has some enviable offers in his kitty, including a production in which he will be working with his dad Boney Kapoor.
We think Arjun, if he plays his cards right, can become a successful actor in Bollywood. And with his immaculate style statement, he already is a trend setter for us. Right, BollywoodLifers?
