The Yamla Pagla Deewana director is back with another brainless slapstick comedy
It seems that Samir Karnik has found his comfort in the David Dhawan zone of cinema. His forthcoming film, Tusshar Kapoor-Kulraj Randhawa-starrer, Chaar Din Ki Chandni, comes across as one such film. It has the usual suspects (Anupam Kher and Om Puri) that are seen in such films and some unusual ones (Mukul Dev, Sushant Singh and Chandrachur Singh). The film is said to be a tribute to Sridevi and the makers have even borrowed the title song of her film, Chandni. The trailer unapologetically plays to the gallery and seems to be proud of it. People slapping each other in quick succession, gay jokes, flatulence et al have found a place of pride in it. Tusshar is seen in two avatars; one of a turban-toting Sikh and the other one which is his normal self. He also pays tribute to his dad Jeetendra’s trademark dance moves of the ’80s. His co-star Kulraj has been portrayed as ‘Dabangg’ (fearless) and she looks pretty when she isn’t mouthing expletives. We hope that our worst fears about this film don’t come true. Tell us what you think about the trailer.
