Amul’s new advertisement plays on the Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone film
Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s film Chennai Express garnered mixed reactions from critics and audiences. Some found it highly entertaining and some totally ‘boakwaas’ (the word Deepika mouths with an accent in the film).
The movie released last week and has already reached the Rs 100 crore milestone at the box office, despite receiving flak.
Amul too plays on the success of Chennai Express versus its actual success. Its latest topical hoarding shows SRK and Deepika with the Amul girl and asks, “Bokwaas office hit?” It sells its butter by adding the punchline, “For Express Breakfasts!”
