Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi no 150 to beat Nandamuri’s Gautamiputra Satakarni in the Tollywood box office clash, declare fans

This Pongal 2017, two big ticket Telugu releases will hit theatres one after the other. There’s Chiranjeevi‘s Khaidi no 150 that will hit theatres today. Nandamuri Balakrishna‘s Gautamiputra Satakarni will release  a day later on 12th January, 2017. Now, this is the kind of Tollywood clash, fans are looking forward to. So we at Bollywoodlife decided to conduct a poll to ask our readers which star between the two would rule the box office this Sankranti? And we have the results with us now – While there fans are looking forward to both releases, Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi no 150 received 67% votes, making it a clear winner between the two. Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Guatamiputra Satakarni just received 33% votes, that is half of the megastar votes. Seems like, Chiranjeevi will rule the box office this Sankranti! Khaidi no 150 is Chiranjeevi’s comeback film as he returns to the big screen after 9 years. The movie is reportedly the official remake of the Tamil movie Kaththi. But the Telugu version has been tweaked to suit the star’s image and the audience. The movie will also star Kajal Aggarwal opposite Chiranjeevi for the first time. This film will mark Ram Charan’s debut into production. The project is helmed by VV Vinayak. Chiru fans are super excited to see the megastar back on the screen! Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Gautamiputra Satakarni, is his 100th film. Directed by Krish, the film is about a 2nd century ruler from the Satvahana dynasty. Looks like we will get to see the Telugu veteran star take on an unusual character. Playing Vashistha devi, his Queen is Shriya Saran. Their chemistry is one of the highlights of the trail apart from its compelling visuals. The film also stars Hema Malini. Already Satavahana flags have been hoisted outside theatres as part of the film’s promotions.
