After taking the Indian Premier League by storm with his flamboyantly aggressive batting, the Jamaican cricketer is looking towards Bollywood
He is not called the ‘Gayle storm’ for nothing. Such is the might of Chris Gayle’s batting strokes that he can make any world-class bowler look silly and assassinate his bowling attack with clinical precision. The 32-year-old Jamaican is currently representing the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in the ongoing IPL. And while he’s wielding the willow to great effect, Gayle is nurturing a dream to enter Bollywood.
We have seen the calm and composed batsman breaking into ebullient jigs whenever his team wins a match. At IPL parties Gayle is seen shaking his booty to the latest Bollywood numbers. He’s played for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL’s last seasons and he’s great friends with Shahrukh Khan. The cricketer has discussed a film career with SRK, we hear, and now it seems that he is seriously looking for a break in Bollywood.
Just like his batting style, Gayle is super confident about his career in the Indian film industry. Though he has not watched a single Bollywood film, he is drawn to the vibrancy and razzmatazz of Hindi films. Apparently, the mighty batsman is convinced that he is all set to take Bollywood away from Salman Khan.
