Movies have clashed on the same Friday innumerable times, but in the forthcoming six months, we will see some clashes which have never been thought of before. Check them out…

In the present days it is very difficult to get a solo release on a Friday. Last week Hate Story 2, Pizza 3D and Amit Sahni Ki List collided at the box office. Whenever there is a box office collision there is a huge hullabaloo regarding that but more than it , the films end up eating each others business. Hai na?

Movies have clashed in the past on the same Friday. Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn clashed in 2012, Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar clashed in 2010. Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol clashed in 2001, Akshay Kumar and SRK clashed in 2013. All these clashes have been symbolic, not just because of the fantastic star cast involved in these projects, but also because some of them moved on to eat into each other’s business. These Fridays were some of the toughest movie choices for audiences too. This year also audiences are going to face such similar situation. We look down at the second half of the year and see as to who is eating into whose pie….

Daawat-e-ishq vs Mary Kom:

The Chopra sisters will be clashing this September 5 as they both are slated to clash with their respective releases. Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur’s much awaited Daawat-e-ishq will fight it out with the Priyanka Chopra’s biopic on Mary Kom, the Olympic medalist.

Our pick: Mary Kom

Finding Fanny vs Creature 3D:

The Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor starrer is all set to clash with Bipasha Basu’s horror film on September 12. Deepika’s film is a Homi Adajania presentation and therefore will be a class apart while Bipasha’s Vikram Bhatt directed film has promised some hi-fi VFX sequences in the film.

Our pick: Finding Fanny

Bang Bang vs Haider:

The Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif starrer will battle it out with the Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer film on October 2. On one hand HR’s film is a remake of the Hollywood film Knight And Day featuring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz while the Vishal Bhardwaj directed film is an Indian adaptation of Shakespear’s famous play Hamlet.

Our pick: Haider

All Is Well vs Tevar:

The Abhishek Bachchan and Asin starrer will clash with the Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha starrer film on December 5. AB’s film will be his second release in the year after Happy New Year which features SRK, Deepika and others. Also it has been directed by superhit director Umesh Shukla of OMG!Oh My God fame. On the other hand Arjun-Sonakshi’s film has huge expectations as both their last films were Rs 100 crore films (2 States and Holiday).

Our pick: All Is Well

Welcome Back vs P.K.:

John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Shruti Haasan and others are all set to tickle your funny bone on December 19, but posing a tough threat will be the Aamir Khan-Sanjay Dutt-Sushant Singh Rajput-Anushka Sharma starrer film. While Welcome Back is a sequel to the hit Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif film Welcome, P.K. is Rajkumar Hirani’s next film since 3 Idiots.

Our pick: P.K.

Baby vs Gabbar vs Mr X:

Akshay Kumar’s Gabbar and Baby releases alongside Emraan Hashmi’s Mr X on Jan 23, 2015. There is a huge buzz regarding all the three films because in both the lead actor’s have a very unique look. Akshay sports a beard in Gabbar which he has never been seen in. Emraan Hashmi sports a bald look, which again he has never been seen in. Baby is a Neeraj Pandey film and thus a lot is expected from it.

Our pick: Gabbar

Roy vs Detective Byomkesh Bakshi:

Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal are all set to share screen space once again after Rajneeti and they will be given tough competition by Sushant Singh Rajput’s detective saga. Both of them are set to release on February 13. Roy was to release this year with Ranbir playing a supporting role in the film but the makers decided to increase his role and thus the movie got pushed to the next year. In Detective Byomkesh Bakshi, Sushant looks very much like the detective himself and we hope he is able to pull it off really well. Also it is a Dibakar Banerjee film and thus expectations are too high from it.

Our pick: Detective Byomkesh Bakshi
