The trio collaborated and came up with Main desh nahin jhukhne doonga which was recently launched as BJP party’s anthem
Aadesh Shrivasatava, Prasoon Joshi and Sukhwinder Singh may not support Narendra Modi in the upcoming elections but they have indeed created the anthem for his party. The music of Bharatiya Janata Party’s new anthem Main desh nahin jukhne doonga has been composed by Aadesh Shrivastava. Sung by talented singer Sukhwinder Singh, this anthem has been penned by Prasoon Joshi. However, Prasoon Joshi isn’t campaigning for any political party. While talking to a leading daily, the renowned lyricist said, “The campaign anthem is a professional assignment done by MWG Tag, an international ad agency and I head the company in India. Personal and political ideologies should be kept away from professional assignments.”
On the other hand, Singh thought he was crooning the patriotic song for a film. Now that’s surprising, hai na? In a recent interview, the Punjabi singer said, “A song came my way which was positive, it had lyrics by Prasoon Joshi and it dosen’t criticise or pull down anybody. Prasoon had told Aadesh Shrivastava that this will be sung by Sukhwinder and when Aadesh sent me the song I liked it. When I sung it, I was told that this is a patriotic song for a film. Now I saw it as an anthem for a party. But they have used it very nicely without getting critical or negative about others.”
What’s even more interesting is that though Aadesh Shrivastava is a supporter of Congress and yet he went ahead and worked on BJP’s anthem. Guess he is also a thorough professional like Prasoon Joshi, hai na?
