The actor breathed his last this morning
Veteran wrestler-actor Dara Singh, who had been battling for his life at a suburban hospital in Mumbai, finally passed away this morning. The 84-year-old was admitted to ICU at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital on Saturday, after he suffered a cardiac arrest. On Wednesday night, Singh was shifted back home after the doctors told his family that he had very “less chance of recovery due to significant damage to his brain”.
He breathed his last at 7.30am at his Mumbai residence in presence of his family and friends. Singh’s physician said that his wish was to be at home with his family at the time of his death. “He passed away at 7.30am due to cardio-respiratory arrest, he had suffered paralysis a few years back, and he also had a very rare brain disease,” said Dr Agarwal.
Ventilator and other support systems were removed only after his death. Our condolences to the Singh family.
