Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Neha Dhupia, Shekhar Kapoor, Mahesh Bhatt and several others tweeted about Dara Singh

Former wrestling champion and actor Dara Singh passed away at his home in Mumbai on Thursday morning following a brief illness. He was 84. B-town celebrities took to Twitter to express their grief and sorrow. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan remembers Dara Singh as a great Indian and the finest human being. Superstar Shahrukh Khan calls him “our very own Superman”. Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt calls him his childhood hero. Veteran actor Anupam Kher says he a was larger than life humble person and actor Manoj Bajpayee describes him as the symbol of physical strength. Read more tweets:

It is an end of an era.RIP,God give strength to the family for bearing this great loss.Who can forget his memorable character Hanuman in serial Ramayan,one cannot imagine another artist in that part.Went into the safe arms of god.

Wrestler-actor, Rustam-e-Hind` Dara Singh died in Mumbai today at 7.30 am. he was a true Indian & a true Human being. He was a great personality. He was a good actor. His earlier films in black and white was good and most of them contained the wrestling element. Dara Singh Randhawa became World Champion on 29 May, 1968 when he defeated Lou Thesz of America.

I got shock when i came to know Dara Singh ji is no more at that movement i was not ready to belive this truth n how it can happen he was such a strong person i m feeling too bad for Dara Singh ji i respect him lot for his kind heart the happy and healthy life which Dara Singh had live i cannot be like Dara Singh ji fully but i m trying my best to be like him in my life we will Misssssss u alot sir it is rightly said by Manoj Bajpayjee he was THE SYMBOL OF PHYSICAL STRENGTH
