Bejoy Nambiar’s forthcoming film David starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and the Southern superstar Vikram is one of the most promising films of 2013. And now with Remo Fernandes’s unique rendition Maria pita che unfolding the story in pieces, the movie has only fuelled our curiosity
First thing first: we have watched the promo of Bejoy Nambiar’s forthcoming dark film David that will hit the screens next month. And going by the trailer, we must say that the movie looks both intriguing and interesting. And now we have unearthed a new number Maria Pita Che from the film. Sung by Remo Fernandez, this song tells the story of Vikram’s character, an alcoholic fisherman, who has fallen for a beautiful deaf and mute girl (played by Isha Sharvani). Shot exclusively in Goa, this song is visually stunning. Remo’s unique voice flows beautifully with the narrative and speaks volumes about the characters involved in this dramatic tale. Vikram, Isha and Tabu produce those magical moments by using the strength of their inimitable expressions.
The action thriller, simultaneously shot in Tamil and Hindi, features Neil Nitin Mukesh, Vinay Virmani of Speedy Singh fame, and South superstar Vikram in the lead roles. The trailer shows all the three men, named David, about to take a daring step in their lives which will alter their future drastically.
