Madhuri Dixit Nene Humari atariya song Dedh Ishqiya

Vishal Bhardwaj’s Dedh Ishiqya‘s first track is out

Madhuri Dixit-Nene had promised us a dance number today at 1.30pm and the lady was true to her words – Dedh Ishqiya‘s first song Hamari atariya was promptly out for fans to listen, watch and enjoy. Composed by the maverick Vishal Bharadwaj, written by Gulzar and rendered by Rekha Bhardwaj, Madhuri’s moves take a back seat! The makers did promise a song that would be a surprise for the dhak dhak gal’s fans, was it surprise then? Not really, we’ve gone mad about Madhuri’s moves but this song has nothing to offer that we haven’t seen her perform. The only difference is that Ms Dixit-Nene performs to the beautiful rustic voice of Rekha Bhardwaj after the hit Ghagra song from Yeh Jawaani Hai DeewaniMadhuri is sensuous, her expressions are a beautiful rendition of Begum Akhtar’s popular Thumri. Choreographer Remo D’Souza choreographs his co-judge yet again. It is the coming together of the Ghagra song trio – Madhuri Dixit, Rekha Bhardwaj and Remo D’Souza, but do they manage to create the same magic?
