Deepika Padukone may opt out of ‘Race 2′ for a film opposite Ranbir Kapoor
Apparently Deepika Padukone has given preference to her film with Ranbir Kapoor over Race 2 opposite Saif Ali Khan. And we think she has made the right choice
Deepika Padukone might have some tough choices to make. Early in the year she had signed Abbas Mastan’s Race sequel, but now she may no longer be part of it. The film will be shot between January and June 2012. Everyone from the cast – Saif ali Khan, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha – have allotted dates except the leggy lass. Apparently, around the same time Dippy has to shoot for Ayan Mukherji’s Yeh Jawani Hain Deewani with ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor. If rumours are to be believed Race 2 producer Ramesh Taurani is livid with Deepika for the last minute ditch. However, the Aarakshan actor’s spokesperson said her dates are being worked out. But we think she should choose Ranbir’s film over Saif.
*First of all YJHD has more scope for screen space and performance as compared to the multi-starrer sequel.
*Though Ranbir and Deepika have earlier worked together in Bachna Ae Haseeno, their chemistry hasn’t been explored to its fullest yet. They do look good together so it will be interesting to watch Ayan work his magic on them.
*Last but the most important, ‘coz of their personal equation (ex-lovers) everyone will queue up on the first day the film releases.
So if Dippy doesn’t manage to accommodate dates for Race 2, we are quite happy with her decision. What do you think?
