Maintaining the success streak, Dhadak has hit a hat-trick with the latest song, Pehli Baar. We really want music composers Ajay-Atul to have a little mercy on the listeners because we are not even done obsessing over the first two songs – Dhadak and Zingaat – and here we have the third one to listen to, on a loop. The new ditty in the voice of Ajay Gogavale is sure going to tug at your heartstrings. It is soothing just like the feeling of being in first love.
Sairat fans will be able to immediately notice that Pehli Baar is a remake of the original, Yed Lagala. Not just the music, but the music video, too, is a scene-by-scene copy of the original. Well, makers are not claiming to make something different than Sairat in the first place. It is an official remake of Sairat. Speaking of the two adorable leads, Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. They impress once again. But this song truly belongs to Ishaan. He is such a natural. He is, what they say in film-making, an actor who becomes the character.
Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned down the lyrics. While the Dhadak title track was in the conventional space, Pehli Baar, just like Zingaat, has unusual lyrics. But that doesn’t mean the words won’t resonate with you. They are moving and you might just chuckle at a line because it is so relatable.
When asked how he feels when people look at him as a future star, Ishaan Khatter said, “I will not say that I have become a star before the release of the film but it feels nice when audience appreciate what they are seeing in the promos of the film. When people support us, our hope increases as they will go to watch the film in theatres,”
Dhadak, directed by Shashank Khaitan, releases on July 20.
