Few weeks ago, Katheeresan and Meenal, an elderly couple from Thirupuvanam claimed that Dhanush, the son of Kasturi Raja was actually their son. They had filed a petition in the district Magistrate court, where they raised a question about his birth roots. They had gone to allegedly claim that Dhanush was their son born by the name Kaliselvan on November 7 1985. He ran away in his 11grade to pursue a career in films. They managed to even provide a birth certificate and Dhanush’s childhood photo. And now that they have found him, they have requested for a monthly maintenance of Rs 65,000. But Someone has come out in support of Dhanush, to rubbish this claim. Visu, an actor-writer-director a close friend of the family issued a statement, where he had mentioned that he has known Kasthuri Raja for the last sixteen years and that he is very close to the family. He categorically stated, Dhanush is indeed the son, he also showed two photographs, one of Dhnaush with his fmaily, the other at Visu’s wedding.
As per reports, Dhanush has to appear before court for the same matter on January 12, 2017. We are wondering now, after this claim will the matter have to be taken to court or would it be an internal settlement? Because this might just interfere with his shooting schedules for his Hollywood debut. It was only months we had told of his first Hollywood project – The Extraordinary Journey Of A Fakir Who Got Trapped In An Ikea Cupboard. The film stars Uma Thurman and Alexandra Daddario. Meanwhile, he is busy wrapping up Enai Noki Paayum Thota opposite Gautham menon. He is also shooting for a project with Karthik Subbaraj. In other news, Visaranai, the film that he produced was India’s entry to the Oscars. And, he will soon produce a film for his father-in-alw, none other than – Rajinikanth!
