Dhanush to remake VIP for Bollywood?

Rumour has it that Raanjhanaa star is not eager to sell the remake rights of his blockbuster Tamil film. Find out why

Tamil superstar Dhanush is on cloud nine as his latest offering at the box office is being raved by the classes and the masses. And seeing the skyrocketing success of Velai Illa Pattadhaari aka VIP, we hear top producers from various industries are standing at the door steps of Kolaveri Di singer to buy the remake rights. But Dhanush doesn’t seem to be keen to sell his film.

A little birdie tells us that Raanjhanaa star is planning to launch VIP director Velraj in Bollywood by adapting the blockbuster in Hindi. The actor-producer Dhanush will be seen reprising his role from the Tamil film. The lanky star, who is currently shooting for R Balki’s Shamitabh with legendary Amitabh Bachchan, seems to made friends with lot of B-town celebs and is hoping to recreate the magic of VIP in Hindi with little help from his new found Bollywood friends.

It is beyond doubt that Dhanush has made a mark in Hindi cinema with his stellar performance in Anand Rai’s Raanjhanaa. Unlike his Bollywood debut, VIP has lot of scope for mass hero antics. Though he has succeeded spectacularly in Kollywood, will he be able to establish himself as mass hero of the likes of Ajay Devgn or Salman Khan?
