Did Arjun Kapoor reject Anurag Basu’s film?

Rumour has it that the Ishaqzaade actor was approached by the Barfi director, and the Kapoor kid behaved difficult

Boney Kapoor’s beta Arjun Kapoor’s first film Ishaqzaade released a few months ago and his second project (Aurangzeb) is still in the making, but he’s fast becoming controversy’s pet actor! After making headlines for his reportedly twisted ties with Salman Khan and refusing his father’s home production, the latest buzz is that the young actor’s acting pricey.

Our well-placed informant who wines and dines with the glitterati revealed to us: “Anurag Basu had approached Arjun Kapoor for a film. Any actor would give an arm and a leg to work with the director, but not Arjun. Forget whether he was interested in the film or not, Arjun didn’t even read the script!”

This of course has led to a string of conclusions regarding the Ishaqzaade dude’s behaviour. Insiders feel success has gone to his head. But when we asked the young actor, he was shocked on hearing the latest piece of chinwag surrounding him. Arjun said: “This is the first time I’m hearing something like this… Anurag Basu is a wonderful director. I would love to meet, interact and work with him in the future.”

All we can say is that controversies are a guaranteed way to reach to the top of the cliff called stardom, at least in Bollywood. So whether anyone likes it or not, rumours are hot and happening. So all we can say is hope Arjun gets used to it!
