The doting dad wasn’t seen anywhere outside the hotel as guests arrived for the ceremony and that made everyone, including us, wonder what’s up

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani’s sangeet ceremony was one mushy affair. And we say this only after hearing the two coo about each other. While Esha said, “I am madly love with him (Bharat), I can`t take my eyes off him,” Bharat refers to the Deol daughter as the “princess of his life”. Totally awwwwsome, right?

And adding a li’l more heart to these sensitive moments was proud mommy Hema Malini dancing to her heart’s content. But what’s this – papa Deol aka Dharmendra didn’t share the dance floor with her!

“I was there for a short while, but I did not see Dharmendra,” said designer Shaina NC, who was at the ceremony. But does that mean Dharmendra didn’t attend the sangeet at all? We certainly doubt that.

According to a feathered friend, Dharmendra did attend the celebration, albeit for a short while, and slipped out early because he was feeling unwell. Also, he used a different entrance while on his way to the venue, we are told. And probably that was the reason why his entry wasn’t noticed by the media crowding outside.

But all this really made us miss Dhahrmendra’s (signature) dance with his dream girl Hema Malini. And now we sincerely hope that the couple makes up for it on June 29, the wedding date. Fingers crossed!
