The Dabanng Khan recently bought a flat in Bandra. And according to reports, paid almost Rs 1.80 lakh per square foot of area!
There’s no denying that Salman Khan loves to live his life king size. So when he bought an apartment in ‘The Address’ building at Bandstand, Bandra, his ‘king size’ demands, those that were happily met by the Dheeraj Group of builders, landed him into a soup.
According to buzz, Sallu bhai has purchased an apartment of 1,079-square metre carpet area on the 11th floor of the said building. But further enquiry revealed that the star had also included the floor space index (FSI) that is awarded to the building for the common use of all residents. This space includes parking, lift and other facilities.
And this was brought to notice by IPS officer and RTI activist YP Singh who said, “A residential property of the same size is available in the surrounding area of Bandra for about Rs 3 crore, but why has Khan paid Rs 20 crore for it?” Indeed, why would Salman do that? To which Mr Singh said, “He did so because he has actually been given an apartment of about 8,000 square feet, out of which over 6,900 square feet area has been taken from the common FSI awarded to the housing society for parking , staircases and other facilities . This is a clear violation of BMC’s FSI rules. The documents prove the violation, so action must be taken.”
Sigh! Is this true, Salman darling? Let’s wait to find out what the Ek Tha Tiger actor has to say about this issue.
