The Dabangg dude had a lot of say in his forthcoming passionate love story, and it took a while for him and the director to agree with each other
Working with Salman Khan is one of the most challenging things to do, especially if you are a director with a distinct vision. It is a well known fact that Salman didn’t agree to do Ek Tha Tiger right away. He ensured that the script was tweaked to his liking. His favourite music composer duo, Sajid-Wajid was brought on board to compose the Mashallah song (which is probably the best number in the album). And every now and then we would get to hear about how Sallu was giving the makers a tough time, while shooting ETT.
Now that the film is almost complete and ready for an Eid release, director Kabir Khan admits that not everything was hunky dory throughout the shooting. In a interview to a tabloid he said, “I will be honest. It took time for Salman and me to come on the same page. There were teething issues on how we look at the scenes and his character.” Talking about the Dhinkachika dude’s tiffs with Katrina Kaif, he said, “Katrina and Salman go back a long way. They have a certain equation. Even Salman seeks her opinion. But yes, there was an incident where they disagreed over Katrina’s costume in the song. Salman has had a say in many things that have gone into Ek Tha Tiger.”
Well, as long as Sallu’s inputs have added to the film, wethinks there is no point in making a song and dance about it. After all, he is the Blockbuster Khan of B-town and who would know better what his fans love him for…
