The 90 year old actor was admitted to Lilavati hospital after he complained of breathlessness
Legendary actor Dilip Kumar on Sunday evening complained of uneasiness and was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra at 8:45 pm. “He (Dilip Kumar) was brought to the hospital around 9:00 pm. He reportedly had breathing problems and he has been admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU). He is under the care of cardiologists. However, there is no cause of concern, he is absolutely stable and he has been kept in the ICU just for observation,” said the COO of Lilavati Hospital Dr Narendra Trivedi. The veteran actor has essayed iconic roles in classics like Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam and was popularly referred to as the King of Tragedy. Born on 11th December, in Peshawar the actor had plans of a grand 90th birthday bash that was called off after the demise of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray. Dilip Kumar’s acting career span was almost six decades and this yesteryear star has been an inspiration for many superstars that followed like Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan.
