Telly industry is rife with speculations about the veteran actor doing a serial on Colors
Bollywood has been making a beeline for television and the latest to join the bandwagon is Dimple Kapadia – so we hear. Rumour is that Ms Kapadia is in talks for a daily soap, which will be aired on Colors. The actor will be playing a successful business woman on the show. We tried confirming the story but the channel is not yet ready to validate anything. “We still haven’t got a confirmed yes from our clients. A publication has done this story, but we are not sure yet. We will let you know as and when we get any information on this topic,” said a spokesperson.
So guess the makers are still negotiating the deal with Ms Kapadia. Wethinks it would be interesting to see Dimple on the small screen; remember in 2005 veteran actor Amrita Singh had also made her debut on TV in Ekta Kapoor’s Kavyanjali? The serial ran for a year and was ranked seven among Star Plus’ popular shows.
While we aren’t sure why Dimple is attempting TV, it’s definitely not a wrong move when everyone is vying to get some small screen time. We just hope that the actor doesn’t get stereotyped as a typical saas. We obviously wouldn’t want that to happen, no?
