Directing ‘Student Of The Year’ made Karan Johar feel old!

As Karan Johar is all set to touch 40 this year, he thinks that he should make more mature films which is why Student Of The Year might be his last youth-oriented film as a director

Mr Karan Johar recently confessed that he has always felt like a grown-up which is one of the reasons he was more comfortable directing the second half of Kuch Kuch Hota Hain rather than the first one. As the second portion of the film deals with the old and wise Kajol and Shahrukh, that has clearly been a comfort zone for Karan. As he’s all geared up to release SOTY in the fall of 2012, Johar shares on the micro-blogging site Twitter that working on the movie and dealing with 20 plus actors made him realise that it’s time to talk shop with older actors. On the other hand, KJo can’t stop raving about the young kids starring in the movie. Claiming that Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt will surely appeal to the youth, he further adds that the movie bought back some amazing memories from KKHH and how he felt supremely nostalgic while shooting it.

All we can say is, now that Johar has decided to stay away from the youth-oriented domain; we hope his rapidly greying hair inspires him to infuse some grey matter in his films too…
